On my final day at AASLH, I wanted to express my gratitude to everyone I have come in contact with over the last twelve years and to those I’ve not met but whose impact and work I have observed from a distance. As the backbone of the public history endeavor, your dedication as paid and unpaid professionals epitomizes these words from Anne Frank: “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.”
I am proud to have served this association and worked toward our shared passion for the relevance of history to our lives and communities. I look forward to continuing to contribute to the field through the Lyndhurst Group, the consulting firm I founded in 2016.
Thank you for making this such a wonderful time in my career.
With deepest admiration,
