Stronger Together: New Experiments from the Creative Economy
As we seek dynamic ways to share history’s relevance, “history adjacent” organizations may offer fresh ideas. History organizations thrive by collaborating across an ecosystem and sharing resources to fuel a region’s quality and vibrancy of life. Brewers, artists, foodies, and more from organizations across Cincinnati will share thought-provoking insights about inviting history into their work to strengthen civic life and livelihoods for residents and visitors alike.
The plenary will be moderated by Kareem A. Simpson, Duncanson Program Manager, Taft Museum of Art and will feature these panelists:
- Justin Brookheart, Senior Vice President, Cultural Economy and Executive Director of BLINK, Cincinnati Regional Chamber
- Aaron Deininger, Executive Director, Brewing Heritage Trail
- Colleen Houston, Chief Executive Officer and Artistic Director, Artworks
- Michael Mangeot, Commissioner, Kentucky Department of Tourism,
- Alandes Powell, Visionary|Creator, Black Art Speaks
- Robert Alan Wight, Ph.D., Associate Professor, The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and author of Cincinnati’s Foodshed: An Art Atlas
