Each year, the American Association for State and Local History conducts an election to select those who will serve on the AASLH Council, the governing board of the association, and the Leadership Nominating Committee, which nominates candidates for Council and the committee.
This year’s election will be held May 28 – June 28.
The Leadership Nominating Committee has selected six people for three spots on the Leadership Nominating Committee and four people for four spots on the AASLH Council.
Additional nominees may be added to the slate by AASLH members submitting a valid petition (signed by at least 50 individual or institutional AASLH members) before May 23, 2025. Petitions can be sent to John Dichtl, AASLH President and CEO, at [email protected].
